Schools
Forge paths to bright futures.
Welcome to the Berea College Information page for schools. We're excited that you’ve found us and look forward to connecting with you!
Here in the Admissions Office, we count schools as one of our most treasured resources. School staff are often advocates who tell students about Berea, and who tell us about their students. We count on you for important application components, like transcripts and recommendations, and appreciate the role school staff play in helping students complete their applications and FAFSA.

Request Materials
No fleeting promises - Berea is a real place! Let us prove it by sending materials for your school.
Here are some frequently asked questions for schools:
Most admitted students have a cumulative, non-weighted GPA of at least a 3.0 (last year’s average was a 3.5) and ACT scores of at least 20 – 30 (last year’s average score was a 25).
All students must meet a financial requirement.
Yes (for most students)! If a student takes the SAT or ACT and feels good about their score, we encourage them to submit it as part of their application. But, if they don’t feel great about it, they can apply “test optional.”
*Note: Homeschooled students and those with a GED are required to submit their scores as a part of their application. There is more information about Test-Optional Admissions available here.
Berea has a mission of serving students with limited financial resources. To make that assessment, we require that a student’s FAFSA be submitted as part of the application process. All students must meet our financial qualifications to be considered for admissions.
The first thing that students need to do is to submit the online application. After that, they’ll be able to set up their online application portal and will be assigned to an admissions counselor. Here is information about all the items students must submit, as well as the additional “electives” they can add to their file. Click here for a list of application checklist items.
Great! We have staff who live and work in many of the communities we serve. Check this page out to find out more information about them, and to connect about the possibility of inviting them to visit your school.
We look forward to seeing you at Berea! Find more information about scheduling a group visit here.
